New York City Marathon

The Big Apple
Early November

The largest marathon in the country, New York City isn't a race, it's a multi-cultural adventure.

With over 30,000 runners, you'll be running side by side with runners from around the world. Many may not even speak English, yet you'll be welcomed by the support of the crowds. The minute you step off the Verrazano Bridge from Staten Island to Brooklyn you'll be overwhelmed by the hometown support. Each neighborhood you pass through will be different: Hassidic Jew, Hispanic, African American, New York Yuppie. . . you'll see it all.

By the time you finish in Central Park, you will have a greater respect for the hospitality of these spectators, the loudest and most supportive anywhere.
